NON - ALCOHOLIC DRINKS

ARRIVE ALIVE SUNRISE

3/4 cup cranberry juice
1/2 cup orange juice1 tbsp honey (optional)
2 tsp. lemon juice3 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until ice is crushed.
Garnish with fruit - and serve at once.

TORONTO ISLAND ICE TEA

6 oz. iced tea
2 oz. raspberry or other fruit juice
Squirt of lemonIce - lots of it
Mix and Enjoy!

Niagara's Ultimate Mix High School Challenge

According to the 2002 Ontario Student Drug Use Survey, alcohol is the most widely used drug among adolescents. The goal of the Ultimate Mix High School Challenge is to encourage non-alcoholic activities among high school students and to increase awareness regarding the dangers of binge drinking and impaired driving.

On May 3, 2002, teams of secondary school students from across Niagara competed to create the best tasting non-alcoholic drink. Drinks were judged on safety message, taste, and overall presentation.

Niagara's Ultimate Mix Challenges You NOT to get mixed up with alcohol!

CONSCIENCE

Recipe: In a pitcher, blend together
5 whole strawberries
1 cup strawberry ice cream
1 drop red food colouring
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
In a second pitcher, blend together
2 bananas
1 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk

At the same time, pour the strawberry mixture down the right side of the glass, and the vanilla mixture down the left side of the glass. Top with strawberries. Makes 4 glasses
