A female suspect was arrested following a drug bust with an estimated street value of R5 500 000 at a storage facility situated in 8th Avenue, Grassy Park.
The NIU members, along with Crime Intelligence, implemented a search operation on Thursday, 15 October, after receiving information about suspected drug activities at the aforesaid address. Upon arrival at around 01:40, a thorough search was conducted, resulting in the discovery of 69 bags of Mandrax tablets, each containing 1 000 tablets.
The female suspect (58) was detained at Grassy Park SAPS for possession of drugs and will appear in the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 16 October 2026.
