E-Hailing Driver Flees After Collision: Brindhaven – KZN

An E-Hailing driver fled after a white Toyota collided with a driveway pillar on Rosemary Drive in Brindhaven – KZN yesterday afternoon (Friday 02/10/2026).
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Center received a call reporting the collision at approximately 19:56. Reaction Officers were dispatched and, on arrival, found the vehicle facing uphill with damage to its front end.
The vehicle owner was at the scene. He explained that he had been informed of the collision and confirmed that the Toyota was used for an E-Hailing service. His driver had fled before Reaction Officers arrived and could not be contacted.
Following discussions at the scene, the vehicle owner agreed with the property owner on arrangements to repair the damaged pillar. He thereafter arranged for the Toyota to be removed.
The circumstances leading up to the collision were not immediately established.
