An intelligence-driven operation involving multiple Police units, law enforcement teams and security companies has resulted in the recovery of a stolen white Isuzu bakkie valued at approximately R380 000.00 and the arrest of one suspect in Klerkskraal on Friday, 18 September 2026.

The success followed information received by the North West Crime Intelligence Provincial Overt Team regarding a suspected stolen white Isuzu single-cab bakkie, which was believed to be travelling from the Northern Cape towards Gauteng through the North West.

The information immediately triggered a coordinated response, with members from the North West Crime Intelligence Provincial Overt Team, Klerkskraal Police Station, Dr Kenneth Kaunda Flying Squad, Gauteng West Rand Flying Squad, BSO Tactical and SAPIS/Syntell E2 security companies, working together to locate and intercept the vehicle.

Crime Intelligence members, with assistance from SAPIS/Syntell E2 technology and BSO security, continued monitoring its movements, and further information indicated that the vehicle was travelling towards Ventersdorp after entering the province from the Northern Cape during the early hours of Friday morning, 18 September 2026.

The intelligence was swiftly shared with operational members on the ground, resulting in the activation of Klerkskraal and Ventersdorp Police, Dr Kenneth Kaunda Flying Squad and Gauteng West Rand Flying Squad.

The coordinated response paid off when members successfully stopped the vehicle in Klerkskraal. Further investigation confirmed that the white Isuzu bakkie had been reported stolen at Lwandle Police Station in the Western Cape.

The 29-year-old male, was arrested and is facing a charge of possession of a stolen motor vehicle. He is expected to appear before the Ventersdorp Magistrates' Court on Monday, 21 September 2026.
