Vehicle Crashes Into Tree: La Mercy – KZN

A motorist escaped injury after a silver 2012 Volkswagen Polo crashed into a tree near the traffic circle in La Mercy, KwaZulu-Natal, yesterday afternoon (Saturday, 19/09/2026).

A member of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) conducting patrols in La Mercy, KwaZulu-Natal, discovered the single-vehicle accident at approximately 21:45.

The driver explained that he was travelling from Ballito towards Durban - KZN when another vehicle allegedly approached at high speed. While attempting to avoid it, he lost control of the Volkswagen Polo, entered the bushes and struck a tree.

The driver was not injured and declined medical assistance.
