Roadblock conducted on the N17 Road near Oshoek.
As part of enhancing police visibility and ensuring safety on the Mpumalanga roads during this Easter period, various institutions participated on a joint roadblock on the N17 Road near Oshoek.
The N17 Road connects the Mpumalanga Province and the country of Eswatini.
The roadblock was graced by the presence of Councillor Walter Mngomezulu, the Executive Mayor of Gert Sibande District Municipality and Councillor Mbuso Magubane, the Executive Mayor of Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality.
It was conducted jointly by traffic officers and officials from the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, officials from Gert Sibande and Ehlanzeni districts, officials from Chief Albert Luthuli, Nkomazi, Bushbuckridge and Mbombela municipalities, members of South African Defence Force, South African Police Service, Border Management Authority and Community Police Forum and traffic officers from Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality.
The roadblock is one of many activities taking place in the province to ensure safety of all road users during this busy period.
