Arrive Alive

Woman hit by a truck on the N2 in Boboyi.

The incident occurred earlier this afternoon in the Boboyi area, a few kilometres inland from Port Shepstone, in southern KZN.

Paramedics from the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health Emergency Medical Services, private ambulance services and officers from the police search and rescue unit arrived on the scene and found the woman, aged in her twenties, still lying underneath the truck.

Paramedics got underneath the truck and started treating the woman. Thanks to the team work of the paramedics, she had soon been stabilized and could be moved out from under the truck. Paramedics continued treatment on the side of the road, before she was transported to hospital for the continued management of her serious injuries by the paramedics from a private ambulance service.

The exact circumstances leading up to the crash are being investigated by the police.
