Question
My house is on a main road. I would like to know according to the law, how far should the curb of the road be to your house.
Answer
The NRTA does not deal with this (only with parking near to or alongside various sizes of shoulder and bridges in terms of pedestrian space for movement).
The best bet is the local council – they will have set minimum requirements for their area of jurisdiction. The next possible place to look may be the National Road Signs Manual.
