Towing with cars and small bakkies

Hi, What the deal with towing of trailers with cars or small bakkies? Basically, I want to know if I can tow a vehicle loaded on a Car Trailer/Transporter with my Corsa bakkie and if not, Why? I searched the net and the answers are not clear at all.

The trailer mass is also limited by the tare of the drawing vehicle.

I assume the GVM of the trailer is between 750kg and 3500kg. Regulation 151(b) thus applies. The actual GVM of the trailer may not exceed the tare of the drawing vehicle.

Effectively, the tare of the car trailer plus the tare of the vehicle on the trailer may not exceed the tare of the drawing vehicle.

Thus, let’s say for argument’s sake we have the following figures:
Tare of pickup:     1130kg
GCM of pickup:    3130kg (irrelevant unless the trailer is equipped with air brakes)
Tare of trailer:      200kg

In this case the tare of the vehicle to be loaded may not exceed 930kg.
