Transporting people on a bakkie

I am a 32 years old male.l have a code 10 RSA valid driving licence. I have been driving for 6 years now. I drive a pick up bakkie. I am told i need to have a PDP to be able to carry people. Is it true & i want know the procedure & How much it costs & How long it takes to get this PDP? Your response would be appreciated.Thank you.

You are not allowed to transport people for reward in a pick-up. Therefore having a PrDP will not allow you to transport people.
