Question

Am I as a motorist entitled to stop and verify my speed if I suspect that I have been caught on camera exceeding the speed limit where the camera is a temporary manned speed trap.

By stopping and requesting to see an image it is of no use. The film is in the housing and is only removed once the cartridge is finished. This is then sent for development and identification.

If a speed exercise is manned using a laser gun. The normal procedure is that the officer will stop and advise you of your transgression and request for you to see the speed at which you were travelling at.

If it is a laser cam. The image gets stored in the device and you can request to see the image and speed. This device is mostly used in areas where the stopping of a motorist would comprise his or her safety.
