Placement of speed cameras

Hi .... just need to find out more about where speed cameras can be put up etc. Have heard people saying that traffic officers may no longer hide behind objects and not allowed to trap from behind ... is this true?

After consultation with the Deputy Director of public prosecutions sites are approved. Inspections are carried before sites are approved. Usually speed cameras are set up in high crash zones.

When selecting a site for a speed measurement exercise, the operator must have a clear and uninterrupted view of the road and the vehicle measured for duration of the measurement.
