Motorbike accident in Silverton involving a rider who sustained critical head injuries
Multiple PVES practitioners and responders were dispatched to a serious motorbike accident in Silverton involving a rider who sustained critical head injuries.
On arrival, the patient was found in a life-threatening condition, requiring immediate Advanced Life Support (ALS) interventions. Rapid stabilisation was initiated on scene to manage the patient’s airway, breathing, and circulation while preparing for urgent transport.
Due to the severity of the trauma, a private ambulance service was activated with assistance from the AURA SA team. Shortly thereafter, a Gauteng Emergency Medical Services ALS ambulance arrived and assumed patient care. The patient was transported in a critical condition to a medical facility for advanced treatment.
