Fatal Armed Robbery & Attempted Hijacking – KwaMashu A Section

A 52-year-old male has been fatally shot following an armed robbery and attempted hijacking incident that occurred just off Dumsani Makhaye Road, near KwaMashu A Section, earlier today. 

KZN VIP Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and discovered the victim lying a few metres away from his company vehicle. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and showed no signs of life. Paramedics sadly declared him deceased at the scene.

Preliminary information suggests that two armed male suspects lay in wait as the victim exited his residence to leave for work. During the confrontation, the victim attempted to flee but was pursued and shot multiple times.

The incident has left residents in the area deeply concerned about safety, with several community members expressing trauma and fear following the violent attack.

Security personnel, tracking agents, and SAPS were alerted after tracker activations and were guided to the scene. An investigation is currently underway, and no arrests have been confirmed at this stage.
