Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested: Parkgate – KZN

A man who stabbed his friend multiple times during an argument was arrested by Reaction Officers in Parkgate - KZN a short while ago.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received an emergency call after a 42-year-old Zimbabwean national was stabbed in the chest. Reaction Officers and RUSA Paramedics were dispatched to the scene, where they found the injured man seated in the passenger seat of an Opel Corsa bakkie. He was treated for three stab wounds to his chest (picture 6).
According to the victim, he had been consuming alcohol with an acquaintance when an argument began. The suspect, believing the victim had insulted his mother, allegedly produced a knife and stabbed him repeatedly. The community intervened and assaulted the suspect. He thereafter fled.
Reaction Officers received information that the suspect was hiding in a nearby bar. Upon arrival, Officers spotted the man attempting to flee. He was arrested as he entered a tavern in the area.
The suspect was heavily intoxicated at the time of his arrest and unable to recall where he had discarded the weapon used in the attack.
