Multiple Children Injured in Serious Head-On Collision in Verulam

Verulam, KZN – Several schoolchildren were injured following a serious head-on collision along Rosemary Drive in Verulam this afternoon.

KZNVIP Medics and response teams were dispatched to the scene after reports of the crash. On arrival, they found multiple schoolchildren who had sustained moderate injuries. Additional KZNVIP Ambulances, along with members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), were called in to assist.

All patients were stabilised on scene before being transported to appropriate medical facilities for further treatment.

According to reports, the driver of a Suzuki involved in the crash was detained at the scene after attempting to flee.

Metro Police, together with multiple emergency and security services, attended the scene.
