Reportedly Drunk Driver Crashes Into Taxi/Ten Scholars Injured: Brindhaven - KZN

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) apprehended a drunk driver on Ginger Grove in Brindhaven - KZN this afternoon (Tuesday) after fleeing the scene of an accident that injured ten scholars. 

Reaction Officers were dispatched after the Operations Center received numerous calls regarding a collision with multiple injuries on Rosemary Drive - Brindhaven in Kwazulu Natal. 

Upon arrival, Officers found approximately ten children from Verulam Primary School, Trenance Park Primary, and Trenance Park Secondary injured when a driver of a silver Suzuki Tiggo crashed into a minibus taxi. Both vehicles were loaded with scholars. Reaction Officers apprehended the driver of the Suzuki, who was heavily intoxicated, near the scene (picture 1/8/10). 

Paramedics & Officers from the Metro Police, KZN VIP, the South African Police Services (SAPS), and other private companies attended the scene.
