Several stolen and hijacked vehicles recovered across various areas in Ekurhuleni.
In a series of operations, members of the Gauteng Traffic Police and Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT (EC), in collaboration with Rentrak and CarTrack, recovered several stolen and hijacked vehicles across various areas in Ekurhuleni.
• A Ford Fiesta, hijacked in Katlehong North, recovered near Hunter’s Field Stadium on Zane Street.
• A black BMW M4, hijacked in Daveyton, recovered in Vosloorus, Sotho Section.
• A VW Caddy, hijacked at the N3 Petroport, recovered in Zonkizizwe.
• A Honda Amaze, hijacked in Daveyton, recovered in Chris Hani Mkrozo Street, Daveyton.
• A truck, hijacked around the Primrose area, reportedly carrying a bulk load of stolen milk.
• A Mercedes-Benz, sought as per Thokoza SAPS CAS, recovered in Rondebult. The vehicle was fitted with false registration plates, and cartridge casings were found inside.
• A Ford Ranger, hijacked in Moffett View, recovered in Delville, Germiston.
• A Chevrolet Cruze, hijacked in Kempton Park, recovered in Essellen Park, Tembisa. The vehicle was taken to Tembisa North SAPS for safekeeping.
• A Toyota Corolla Quest, hijacked in Norkem Park, recovered in Clayville Extension 45, Tembisa.
• A Toyota Quantum, hijacked in Tsakane while the driver was changing a tyre.
• A Hyundai H100, hijacked in Dukathole, recovered with two suspects in Wadeville on Osborn Road.
• A Powestar truck, hijacked in Pretoria, recovered in President Park, Midrand — the trailer and load of steel were missing.
• A VW Polo Vivo, hijacked on Madiba Drive in Winnie Mandela, recovered in Ivory Park Extension 2.
• A Toyota Corolla Quest, stolen in Florida, recovered on Frost Street, Windmill Park.
• A VW Polo, hijacked in Heidelberg, recovered in Vosloorus Extension 5.
