Collision on the M19 Durban-bound, before the Mountbatten off-ramp, west of Durban.

Just before 10 a.m. this morning, ALS Paramedics responded to numerous calls of a serious collision on the M19 Durban-bound, before the Mountbatten off-ramp, west of Durban.

Paramedics arrived on scene to find chaos as they found that three vehicles(Bakkies) had been involved in a collision with multiple people having been injured. Immediately, more ambulances and advanced life support paramedics were dispatched to assist. 

It is alleged that one of the vehicles had broken down and a second vehicle had stopped to assist, and whilst working on the vehicle, a vehicle plowed into the stationary vehicle.

A total of five people had sustained various injuries, with one sustaining critical injuries. They were stabilised on scene by advanced life support paramedics before they were transported through to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required. 

At this stage, the events leading up to the collision is unknown, however, SAPS and Metro Police were in attendance and will be investigating further.
