Four suspects behind bars for possession of drugs and dealing in drugs
Western Cape police remain persistent in the fight against drugs in our communities as they arrested four suspects during separate incidents.
On Monday, 12 May 2025, members of Woodstock SAPS Crime Prevention Unit and Law Enforcement were busy with an integrated operation at Lower Church Street, Woodstock, when they spotted a grey Hyundai driving without lights. They immediately pulled over the vehicle over and conducted a search during which they found 132 mandrax tablets inside the vehicle. Three adult males were arrested and detained at Woodstock SAPS for possession of drugs.
In an unrelated incident, Milnerton police received information about a foreign national storing drugs at a storage facility in Koeberg Road. Information was immediately operationalised when members conducted a search at the facility in conjunction with the Tactical Response Team and found 58 packets of compressed dagga with the street value still to be determined. A 41-year-old foreign national was arrested on a charge of dealing in dagga.
Both suspects are due to appear in the Cape Town Magistrates’ court on the respective charges on Wednesday, 14 May 2025.
