AA Launches Easter Road Safety Campaign Along N1 Kroonstad Corridor- AA
As part of its commitment to safer roads, the Automobile Association (AA) will roll out an Easter road safety campaign along the N1 to Kroonstad, Free State. The campaign aims to provide road safety support, education and assistance to motorists traveling over the busy Easter period.
This route was selected for its strategic significance, as the Free State serves as a major hub connecting several provinces and providing key access to Lesotho.
AA Easter Campaign Activities:
- 16 April: AA teams will be on the road alongside motorists on the N1, offering roadside assistance and safety support to those in need.
- 17 April: A formal road safety campaign will take place at Shell Ultra City, Kroonstad, in collaboration with key road safety stakeholders and partners.
- 18 April: Road safety activities will continue, focused on educating road users and promoting responsible driving behaviour.
Motorists can expect:
- Vehicle and tyre checks
- Passenger safety education
- Expert safety advice
- Live demonstrations on road safety techniques
This campaign is part of the AA’s broader #GotHomeSafe initiative, reinforcing its mission to help all South Africans reach their destinations safely.
