Construction worker critically injured after being struck by a vehicle

Midlands EMS crews were dispatched to the N3 southbound between Balgowan and Lions River, where a construction worker had been struck by a vehicle.

Upon arrival, it was determined that the construction worker was in critical condition and required urgent advanced life support care with specialized stabilization equipment.

Once stabilized, the patient was transported to a Level 1 trauma hospital for further medical attention.

Authorities were on the scene to investigate the incident
