A mountain bike rider collapsed while riding in Karkloof

Upon arrival, it was determined that the patient required urgent resuscitation with advanced life support intervention and CPR.

Despite all efforts, the patient was sadly declared deceased on the scene by Midlands EMS paramedics.

With rising temperatures, Midlands EMS urges the public to take extra precautions when engaging in outdoor activities.
