Yesterday afternoon KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service responded to Dr Chota Matola road for reports of a collision.
When emergency services arrived they found that a scholar had been knocked over by a vehicle.
Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that the patient had sustained critical injuries.
The patient was treated on scene before being transported to the hospital for further treatment.
