Operation Shanela actions in Mangaung Metro

Multi-disciplinary disruptive crime prevention actions are in full swing in Mangaung Metro. The weekly operations activities started with roadblocks; the N1 National Road South led by Parkweg Police Station Commander, Brigadier Teboho Raymond Jacobs and the other on R702 Dewetsdorp Road led by Brigadier Dingiliswe Esau Fothoane, Bloemspruit Police Station Commander.

At the end of the first operational concept [roadblock], eight (8) undocumented persons were arrested; eighteen (18) traffic fines were issued, 471 vehicles and 792 persons were searched.

One written notice to appear before court with a fine to pay was issued for failure to brand mark livestock.

Different operational concepts will be conducted through the weekend in all station precincts in Mangaung Metro.
