Intermittent partial road closure required for Eskom works on the N3 between Merrivale and Howick

Road users should be prepared for possible traffic delays on the N3 Toll Route tomorrow (Sunday) between 09h00 and 13h00.

Eskom requires the intermittent closure of the road between Merrivale and Howick in KwaZulu-Natal to perform essential maintenance work on an overhead transmission line and conductor.

Traffic traveling in both directions will be temporarily stopped on the N3 for a period of approximately 30 minutes at a time.

The Road Traffic Inspectorate (RTI) will be managing the road closures and traffic management.

N3TC advises motorists and transport operators to plan ahead and make provision for traffic delays and congestion in the area during this period.

Obtain real-time, verified traffic information and emergency assistance from the 24-hour N3 Helpline on 0800 63 43 57 or by following @N3Route on X.
