N3 Toll Route | Indezi River Bridge Maintenance | Temporary Southbound Road Closure at Balgowan/Curry’s Post (I/C 125)

10 June 2024 – Maintenance work required at the Indezi River Bridge, located at N3-4 km 30.2 i.e., just south of Balgowan/Curry’s Post (I/C 125), has been RESCHEDULED to Wednesday, 12 June 2024 between 10H00 and 12H00.

The southbound carriageway of the N3 Toll Route will be temporarily closed while the maintenance work is being performed.

*NB! Should circumstances change, the works may be delayed to take place on 13 June 2024 between 10H00 and 12H00. Law enforcement officials, assisted by N3TC Route Services, will manage the temporary closure of the N3 Toll Route.

All heavy motor vehicles travelling southbound, towards Durban, will be stacked on the N3 Toll Route between Nottingham Road (I/C 132) and Balgowan/Curry’s Post (I/C 125). Should the officials deem it safe, light motor vehicles may be diverted via the R103 at Nottingham Road (I/C 132) and directed back onto the N3 Toll Route at Howick (I/C 107).

N3TC advises logistics operators to plan ahead and make provision for traffic delays and congestion during this period. If possible, it is recommended that heavy vehicles delay their trips to this area on 12 June 2024.

Obtain real-time, verified traffic information and emergency assistance from the 24-hour N3 Helpline on 0800 63 43 57 or by following @N3Route on X.
