Driver and passenger entrapped after a vehicle rollover on the R102 just outside of Humansdorp

At around 17:40 REMS medical received a call about a single motor vehicle on the R102 just outside of Humansdorp. Apon arrival REMS paramedical staff found a bakkie rolled several times and the driver and passenger were severely entrapped in the wreckage. .
Paramedics stabilized the two patients before extrication began, both patients had to be freed using cutters and spreaders from Humansdorp Metro Rescue technicians.
Both patients were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and further care.
The cause of the accident is still unknown and will be handled by local SAPS.
We pray for the speedy recovery of both patients and our thoughts are with the families.
