Multiple injuries after a collision at an intersection in Umhlanga

Just after 06h00 on Friday morning Emer-G-Med paramedics together with Netcare911 responded to the scene of a collision involving a minibus taxi and a light motor vehicle at the intersection of Umhlanga Rocks Drive and Longwoods Road.

Reports from the scene are that seventeen people were left with injuries ranging from minor to moderate and were treated and stabilized on scene before being taken by various ambulances to nearby medical facilities for further care.

The cause of the collision is unknown and will form the subject of a South African Police Services investigation.
