Beach Rescue- Westbrook

At approximately 15:30 pm CERT duty cell received a call about a person in distress.

CERT volunteers together with emergency services were dispatched and upon arrival found an adult female who had been swimming when a freak wave knocked her over injuring her. She was treated by CERT volunteers together with paramedics before being transported to hospital for further care under the care of an Advanced Life Support Paramedic. Thank you to Ethekwini Lifeguards, IPSS Medical Rescue and CERT volunteers for responding.
