Motor vehicle accident leaves multiple people injured including a 5-year-old boy.

Midlands EMS received multiple calls for a serious motor vehicle accident on the R617 Mafakatini just outside of Howick.

Upon arrival, crews were met with multiple critical patients who were ejected from the vehicle.

Midlands EMS crews along with other services stabilized all patients before being transported to various hospitals for further care.

The exact cause of the accident is under investigation by local authorities.
