Gauteng: Taxi bursts into flames after hitting pedestrian and light pole

Gauteng: At 07H33 Wednesday morning Netcare  911 responded to an adult pedestrian who had sustained moderate injuries after being struck down by a mini-bus taxi which caught alight after hitting a light pole on Andries Pretorius Street in Eastleigh Johannesburg. 

The taxi driver escaped unharmed however the pedestrian was treated and stabilised on scene before being transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
