The bodies of two girls recovered following a drowning incident at Sezela Dam
Members from Port Shepstone Search and Rescue, K9 SAR together with Medevac, were called out to the Sezela Dam in the Scottburgh area for a report of a double drowning.
A group of kids was swimming when two girls aged 12 and 15, got into difficulty. The girls, Nosipho Mphuma and Thandikile Mphuma tried to help each other but both sadly drowned.
K9 Bear was utilised and after a positive pointing out, a dive operation was conducted. Both bodies were recovered at a depth of 7m.
The bodies were handed over to Scottburgh SAPS members on the scene.
