Three killed, one seriously injured in head-on collision outside Ermelo

Three people were killed and another person was left in a serious condition following a head-on collision on the N2 outside Ermelo in Mpumalanga this evening.

At approximately 6.30pm, paramedics from ER24 as well as the Ermelo Fire Department arrived on the scene where they found the two vehicle which collided with each other. Two men were found with fatal injuries inside one of the vehicles. A woman was found with fatal injuries inside of the second vehicle. Sadly, there was nothing that paramedics could do for them and they were declared dead on the scene. 

A man was found with serious injuries in one of the vehicles. He was stabilised on the scene and rushed to Ermelo Provincial Hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are not yet known. Local police attended the scene and will conduct an investigation.
