Nine injured as bakkie collides with truck on the R42 in Delmas
Nine people, including a baby boy, have been injured when the bakkie they were travelling in collided with a turning truck on the R42 in Delmas this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene at 16:19 to find other services already in attendance. One critical adult female was treated with Advanced Life Support interventions before being transported by another service to hospital. A baby boy was found to have suffered serious injuries and an adult male moderate injuries - both were treated on scene before being transported by ER24 to Pholosong Hospital in Brakpan. Six others patients had suffered mild to moderate injuries, were treated and transported by other services. All nine patients had been travelling in the bakkie when it collided with the rear of the truck.
The Fire Department as well as the South African Police Services were on the scene for further investigations.
