Woman left seriously injured after knocked over by car on Doordrift Road in Plumstead, Western Cape.

A woman, believed to be in her 50s, was left seriously injured this morning when she was knocked over by a light motor vehicle on Doordrift Road in Plumstead, Western Cape.
ER24 medics arrived on the scene at 07h27 to find the woman lying in the road a short distance away from the light motor vehicle.
Medics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained a significant head injury and was in a serious condition.
The woman was treated for her injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before she was transported to Groote Schuur Hospital for further care.
The driver of the light motor vehicle fortunately escaped injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
