Scholar hospitalized after stabbing in Manor
A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized following a stabbing at a school in Manor, outside of the CBD, Pietermaritzburg.
ER24 paramedics were dispatched to the call at 12h10, arriving shortly after.
On arrival, paramedics found a 14-year-old boy being treated by an onsite nurse.
The boy was assessed and found to have sustained stab wounds to his arm, shoulder and back.
Paramedics treated the boy and thereafter transported him to Northdale Provincial Hospital for further care.
It is understood that the boy was stabbed by another student with a pair of scissors.
The incident was reported to the local authorities.
