Cape Town: Roof contractor hospitalised after falling through a high factory roof.

At approximately 14h20 on Thursday afternoon 12 October 2017, Netcare 911 responded to reports that a man had fallen through a roof at a factory in the Retreat area, Cape Town.

Reports from the scene allege that the man was a contractor who was working on the roof. He had fallen approximately six meters. The incident and preceding events still needs to be investigated.
Paramedics attended to the thirty year old man who had sustained moderate to serious injuries and analgesic medication was administered to manage his pain. He was stabilised by the team at the scene and then transported by ambulance to hospital for further assessment and care.

Fortunately no one else was injured in the incident.
